Europe Select Tournament 2025 – Historic Moments in Budapest

Once again, Budapest hosted the prestigious Europe Select Tournament, one of Europe’s most significant youth ice hockey events. Across five age groups, a total of 58 teams, representing 30 organizations from 12 countries competed for glory. (SK, CZE, HUN, SWE, GBR, UKR, AUT, SLO, PL, GER, SRB, LAT). In total, 812 players took to the ice to showcase their skills, delivering thrilling battles and unforgettable performances.

2011 Age Group – MAD East’s Unbeaten Run

In the oldest category, Slovak powerhouse MAD East stormed to the title with a flawless performance, leaving no doubt about their dominance.

2012 Age Group – Falcons Defend Their Crown

The Slovak Falcons once again proved their strength, successfully defending last year’s title after defeating SHS Select in the final.

The Young Hockey squad captured the gold medal after outlasting the Wild Knights and SHS Select in a highly competitive tournament.

In the 2014 category, the Czech SHS Select dominated from start to finish, claiming the championship ahead of Sweden’s Tordön Hockey and Slovakia’s Slovak Elite.

The youngest age group saw the biggest surprise: Poland’s Festiwal Hokeja captured the title for the very first time, defeating SHS Select in the final.

Closing Notes

The 2025 Europe Select Tournament once again confirmed the incredible level of youth hockey across the continent. While Slovak and Czech teams remain dominant forces, the historic Polish victory by Festival Hokeja was the true highlight of the year.
