In 2027, we will organize the Europe Select Tournament for the seventh time. Over the past years, the event has continued to grow and has become one of Hungary Talent’s largest international tournaments.
The dates for the 2027 edition are now confirmed, and registration officially opens today.
During the past months, many teams have already expressed their interest in returning to Budapest, and many have been waiting for the new dates to be announced. We have already started discussions with several organizations and select teams, and these talks are still ongoing.
The 2027 Europe Select Tournament will be organized for five age groups:
2017 – May 7–9
2013 – May 14–16
2015 – May 21–23
2014 – May 28–30
2016 – June 4–6
One of the most important principles of the tournament remains unchanged: our goal is to create a strong international field where select teams from different countries can compete against each other.
Registration is primarily open to select teams, and we will continue to focus on bringing teams from as many different countries as possible to Budapest in every age group.
We are planning with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 teams per age group. Every team will be guaranteed 7 games, played in a 2 × 20-minute format.
The story of the Europe Select Tournament began in 2021. The first edition was held at the Altis Hotel in Slovakia, and one year later Budapest became the home of the tournament. From the very beginning, our goal has been to provide young hockey players with a high-level international competition and a unique opportunity to develop.
For the 2027 event series, we expect close to 60 teams from as many as 15 different countries.
Registration for the 2027 Europe Select Tournament is now open, and we look forward to welcoming select teams from across Europe.
